» The applicant (manufacturer) needs to provide sample(s) with user manual.
» The applicant needs to provide registered address proof of the manufacturing unit, such as, copy of factory license having the relevant product mentioned as a scope of manufacturing and bearing the address of manufacturing unit – it must be in English and in original language as well.
» The applicant must have obtained BIS License and provide a copy of the same with validity date and denoting all applied models.

» A cover letter enlisting all the information and attachments provided.

Indian Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM)
Any Executive of the Indian Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) or brand owner should be appointed and authorized as an Authorized Signatory through an authorization letter from his company for all BEE associated responsibility.
Foreign Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM)
It is mandatory for a foreign manufacturer to nominate appoint an Indian business organization as its Authorized Indian Representative (AIR) and Signatory. The manufacturer can appoint any executive of their company, located in India, as Authorized Indian Representative.

There are mandatory requirements that must be complied by the product manufacturers after BEE Registration. Products Manufacturers should comply these guidelines:
After getting the approval, in case no production is made in first six months, the license holder (manufacturer) has to revalidate and confirm to BEE that the production has started and then follow the guideline mentioned above at point number 3. The manufacture must carry out this process for a period of maximum three years or till validity of label.
Fixing BEE Logo on the product involves three steps: 1. A specimen of BEE label must be submitted, as applicable, 2. Getting the specimen approved by BEE, 3. The BEE Logo must be prominently displayed on the applicable product.

The tested samples should be collected back within 15 days from the date on which the test report was issued. If not collected back withing the stipulated time, the lab reserves the right to destroy the sample according to its policy.
The validity of BEE Registration Certificate is 3 years from the date it is issued. BEE Certificate validity can be renewed by paying the renewal fees along with the required documents.
